A Joshua Tree elopement to remember
Sandra + Emmanuel traveled from far away Sweden to have a secret runaway wedding in the high desert wild. Their love for Americana, road travel, and culture inspired them to say their wedding vows amidst the rocky boulders of Joshua Tree. They had an amazing road trip planned following their big day, but the adventure didn’t begin, until the vows had been spoken. All things from there laid the ground work for the perfect Joshua Tree elopement.
See you at the homestead babe
S + E got ready separately at the Homestead Modern . They planned to do a quickie first look before they were onto their Joshua Tree National Park adventure. The beautiful bouquet was done by VasoBello and the lovely sweetheart cake by Over the Rainbow Bakery. It was incredible to be in the open desert of Pioneertown. The air was tranquil and clean, and we were greeted by the sweet sounds of nothingness and silence.
Follow me down to Route 62
Off we went with our friends at The Walk Down the Aisle , some smoke bombs, lots of film, and champagne. As we meandered down the Joshua Tree Park highway we stopped for some sightseeing, picture taking, and I was the quiet third wheel as S+E explored the desert with some romantic strolls.
Twilight Vows
While it was actually quite difficult to shoot once the sun had set – the ambiance was beautifully still, tranquil, and incredibly romantic. Their ceremony was brief but charged with emotion and truth. This Joshua Tree elopement was fully charged.
See Ya at the Saloon
What better wedding meal than one at the Joshua Tree Saloon? My friend Teddy Quinn was on stage that night and the couple danced by themselves quietly off to the side as a nod to all things wedding before settling down to their drinks and supper. We joined them briefly for a drink before heading out for one last smokebomb to end the day. It was a marvelous adventure.
